After equaling the record for title defenses (10) Anderson Silva, flyweight Demetrious Johnson wants to continue making history in the UFC. Despite being the undisputed champion at 57kg and number 1 in the organization's weight-for-pound rankings, his success has not yet earned DJ the financial return that other athletes have obtained. Thinking about changing this scenario, Mighty Mouse is willing to put on a 'superfight', and already has a clear name in mind: Conor McGregor, highest paid athlete in MMA history.

“It would have to be someone from another division. I mean, it would have to be Conor (to get what he deserves). Look at the fight between him and Mayweather, they are different sports. I think if any fight happened before this one it would be his fight with me. We do the same thing”, he declared, in an interview with the website 'TMZ Sports' (USA).
Asked about the qualities of his possible future opponent, Demetrious praised the Irishman's striking, and concluded by saying that he will need to turn to McGregor's agency to arrange the duel.
“You would have to be careful with your left. He has good shots, he has power in his hands… I'm a smaller guy, but if I want that check, I might have to call McLife,” she concluded.
Demetrious Johnson, 30 years old, is the first and only UFC flyweight champion. He won the title by defeating Joseph Benavidez at UFC 152, in September 2012. Since then, he has defeated all ten opponents he has faced. In total, DJ has 26 wins, two losses and one draw in his professional record.
