Despite the recent news that Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic had been released from his UFC contract to fight in Japan, the Croatian claims that he will return to the American organization soon.
Last week, the newly created DREAM announced that Filipovic had been released from his UFC contract and had signed with the new event. UFC attempted a refund paid at contract signing for Mirko, but ultimately allowed an amicable separation.
Cro Cop, who is coming off defeats to Gabriel “Napão” Gonzaga and Cheick Kongo, stated that he had fulfilled his contract with DREAM and will return to the UFC after 3 fights in connection with the Japanese event.:
“I already mentioned that I will take part in the three fights for DREAM and that I will then return to the UFC,” Crocop told javno.com.
