Garbrandt won the bantamweight belt by surprising Dominick Cruz at UFC 207, last December, when he completely dominated the former champion. At just 25 years old, 'No Love' is undefeated in MMA, having won 11 fights, nine of them by knockout. In Ultimate, there are six triumphs, including knockouts over Augusto Tanquinho and Thominhas Almeida.
Former champion of the category, Dillashaw, 31 years old, became champion by knocking out Renan Barao at UFC 173 in May 2014. He defended his title on two occasions, against Joe Soto and Barão again, but was defeated by Dominick Cruz in January 2016. Afterwards, they scored two victories by overcoming the Brazilians Raphael Assunção and John Lineker.
The UFC 213 card does not yet have a defined main attraction, but the expectation is that it will be a confrontation between Michael Bisping e Georges St Pierre. However, three fights have already been announced for the show: Fabricio Werdum x alistair overeem (heavy weight), Robbie Lawler x Donald Cerrone (welterweight) and Travis Browne x Alexey Oliynyk (heavyweight)
