Contrary to most fighters today, Jessica Andrade, 'Bate-Estaca' is not a fan of provocations. With a fight scheduled against the current strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 211, May 13, in Dallas (USA), the Brazilian praised the Polish woman and revealed a respectful relationship between them, including exchanging gifts. According to her, the connection with her next opponent is due to the fact that they both had the same manager a few years ago, Brazilian Tiago Okamura.

“We had the same manager when I was fighting at bantamweight and we got along really well. Joanna is a very affectionate, very friendly person, she even gave me gifts, like a shirt and a glove, which I still use to train today. I respect Joanna a lot for her work and for the human being she is. I'm very happy to have this fight with her and I'm sure it will be a great war, because she's a monster inside the octagon, just like me”, declared Jessica, in an interview with the website 'Portal do Vale Tudo'.

'Bate-Estaca' even revealed that he has trained together with Jedrzejczyk. According to her, although it was only on one occasion, it was good to get a sense of what her opponent's ground game is like.

“We only did one training session. In fact, it was a little thing during the week of one of my fights, something very simple. She was off the record because she had just recovered from hand surgery. It was a calm training session, but I was able to feel her strength, understand a little about her ground work, how she gets up, and it was really cool. I respect Joanna a lot, she is a sensational person”, said the fighter, who concluded by ensuring that the final stretch of preparation is being carried out as planned.

“There’s very little left until the fight. Master Paraná is taking care of everything, both the technical and psychological aspects. I am very well supported, structured, and we have some associates helping us. I'm feeling a lot of progress and I'm sure I'm going to do very well in these fights. (…) I'm already in the process of cutting weight, I'm calm, I'm at my traveling weight, everything is calm, under control. I'm following the guide to arrive at the fight well conditioned to, if necessary, do the five rounds at a high level”, he concluded.

In addition to the fight between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jéssica 'Bate-Estaca', UFC 211 will feature another title fight. For the heavyweight division, Junior Gypsy rematch the champion Stipe Miocic, whom he already defeated in 2014. With his eyes on the welterweight challenger spot, the Brazilian Demian Maia is also cast in the show: he faces Jorge masvidal.
