King Mo beats Rampage at Bellator and will face Ryan Bader

North American beat former UFC champion, despite having a disadvantage of almost 20 kg., and challenges Bader at Bellator 180

Bellator 175, an event that took place last Friday (31), brought the newly-signed's first opponent Ryan bader, who left the UFC for the company run by Scott Coker. The North American will face King mo Lawal, who surpassed the former Ultimate champion, Rampage Jackson, by decision, in the main fight.

The two had a rematch, since Rampage had won the first meeting between the two, which took place at Bellator 120, in May 2014. Now, however, King mo, who had a disadvantage of almost 20 kg, in a heavyweight duel, was better and used his wrestling to dictate the pace of the fight. Jackson only threatened in the second round, when he came close to knocking out King mo.

In the second most important fight of Bellator 175, Brazilian Marcos “Loro” Galvão lost to Emmanuel Sánchez. The duel would be at featherweight, in what would be the debut of “Loro”, former bantamweight champion, in the new category. Sánchez, however, did not make the weight limit and the duel was turned into catchweight. Inside the cage, the North American was superior and won all three rounds according to the judges' count, beating the Brazilian by unanimous decision.

At the end of the fight, it was announced that the winner will face Bader at Bellator 180. The event will mark the company's debut in New York and will be held on June 24th. In North America, edition 180 can only be seen through the pay-per-view system, normally used by Ultimate, Bellator's main rival.

The duel between King oe Ryan bader should open work on PPV. In the main fight, Wanderlei Silva will return to MMA to face his arch-rival Chael Sonnen. Fedor Emelianenko, former PRIDE champion, faces Matt Mitrione in the second most important fight of the night, while two belts will be up for grabs, with Michael chandler (light) and Douglas lima (welterweight) defending their crowns against Brent Primus and newcomer and former UFC fighter Lorenz Larkin, respectively.
