McGregor's training partner, Lobov blasts José Aldo: “Coward”

UFC featherweight fighter Artem Lobov is best known for being a friend and training partner of Conor McGregor than for his achievements inside the octagon. And, it seems, the awareness of the UFC lightweight champion has “influenced” the style of the Irishman of Russian origin.

asked about José Aldo, current holder of the belt in the category in which he operates, Lobov spared no criticism of the Brazilian, whom he called a 'coward' for accepting to be titled as linear champion even after his defeat to McGregor.

“I'll tell you something about José Aldo. If I were in his place, I would never have accepted this belt. Like this? So they take the belt away from the guy who knocked him out in 13 seconds, offer it to him and he accepts it with a smile on his face? What kind of coward is he? There is no chance of me accepting that belt. I would say, “Let me fight that guy again. I want to fight him!” And if he wasn't in the division anymore, damn it. I wouldn't want that belt. Let two other guys fight for him and I would face the winner to deserve the title. Now he carries that belt that Conor took from him in 13 seconds and he will never be able to get rid of the reputation as a coward that he brought with it”, said the fighter, in an interview with “Submission Radio” (USA).

According to Lobov, not even a victory over Max Holloway at UFC 212, June 3, in Rio de Janeiro, it will be enough to consider Aldo the true featherweight champion.

TUF 22 finalist, Lobov has a fight scheduled against Cub swanson No. UFC Nashville, April 22nd. At 30 years old, he has four fights in Ultimate, with two wins and two losses. In total, there are 27 fights in his record, with 13 positive results, 12 negative results, one draw and one I didn't answer.
