Known for his reserved style and few words, Gegard Mousasi has been changing its behavior in recent months. With a scheduled fight against Chris Weidman at UFC 210, in Buffalo (USA), on April 8, the Armenian-Dutch assured that he will knock out or submit his next opponent, whom he referred to as 'arrogant'.

“He (Weidman) is a solid fighter, he’s good at everything, but he’s not great. He's not that explosive, he's not that fast. I'll erase it, I promise. I know he's a confident guy, he's arrogant sometimes. I think he underestimates me”, declared the fighter, in an interview with The MMA Heat (USA).
Not even Michael Bisping, current middleweight champion, escaped Mousasi's criticism. When asked when he expects to receive the opportunity to compete for the category's belt, Gegard made light of the Englishman's qualities, calling him 'weak'.
“Who cares about the belt? I can face the best guys who don't have the belt. And then I can face Michael Bisping, who I think is the weakest guy, for the belt. Of the top 4 in the division, he is the weakest,” he concluded.
At 31 years old, Mousasi is going through a great phase in his career, having won the last four duels he has fought, three of them by knockout. His last victory was over Uriah Hall, in November 2016, at UFC Belfast. In total, he has an extensive record with 41 triumphs, six setbacks and two draws.
