After debuting by submitting Mexican Fabian Galván in the main fight of Brave 3, in Curitiba, on the 18th, the Chute Boxe fighter was confirmed as the next challenger for the organization's featherweight belt, which will have an inaugural champion defined this Friday (31), after the duel between Masio Fullen and Elias Boudegzdame, at Brave 4.

Mohammed Shahid, president of Brave, revealed that the intention was to announce the news soon after Lucas' victory in his debut, but he chose to wait for confirmation of his trip to Abu Dhabi.
“It was our intention (to announce him as number one contender at the post-fight press conference), but we changed our plans. Now Lucas will go to Abu Dhabi and the promotion of the new champion's first title defense will begin immediately”, declared the director.
lucas mineiro, 28 years old, became known for being one of the few athletes to win fights in three different categories in the UFC (bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight). Since leaving the organization – with a triumph over Scottish Rob Whiteford in April 2016 – he has won all three of his fights. In total, he has 19 wins and three losses on his record.
