Current UFC light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier will put his belt on the line on April 8th, when he faces Anthony Johnson in the main fight of UFC 210. However, 'DC's' thoughts seem to be on another opponent. Declared disaffection of Jon Jones, Cormier does not hide his desire to face the former 93kg champion for the second time, who already beat him in January 2015.

Suspended until July this year, 'Bones' can return to the octagon directly in a title fight, but, according to Dana White, he will not be featured in the main attraction of the event. “We would all have to have some discussions. I will not fight Jones on any card. It would have to be on a certain type of card if we were to be co-main event. But there's another question I'll ask: Jon and I won't be fighting in anyone's co-main event except Conor McGregor. Right? It's the only way that makes sense, right? So we have a problem. Now we have a bunch of guys making a lot of money on fight cards. So what are you going to do?”, declared the fighter, in an interview with the program “The MMA Hour” (USA).
Asked if he considers it fair for Jones to return in a title fight, Cormier assured that he sees no problems with the situation.
“Sure, whatever. I would like to fight the Jon Jones. I've been trying to do this since 2015. All I wanted to do for years was have another opportunity to fight him. So, sure, if you want to give him the title fight, go ahead. I believe that once he gets his affairs in order he will be good to go.”
