American Floyd Mayweather surprised by avoiding controversy over Conor McGregor and Dana White. The boxer responded to the Irishman's provocations with respect and even praised the UFC president. Recently, the Ultimate champion said he would shock the world and knock out Mayweather, while the company boss admitted he would let his athlete enter a boxing ring, contrary to rumors that the UFC was preventing the superfight.

“I feel like McGregor has the right to say what he feels. The only thing you can do about this is respect your opinion (…) I just want to tell Dana White that I was abroad when I was told what you said. I want to say good job to Dana White. Conor McGregor, they said you finally opened your mouth and started talking nonsense again, and I said that’s cool too”, Floyd commented to the North American website “FightHype”.
Despite reducing the level of provocations, Mayweather guarantees that he is ready to fight McGregor. The American guaranteed that his “bad boy” days are behind him and now plans to behave differently outside the ring.
“With me, things are what they are. People know that at least I can fight, if I don't know how to do anything. But when I'm not in the ring, I'm a gentleman. Outside the ring, a gentleman. Let's see if the fight will happen, if it happens. We’ll see,” he signed off.
