The Brazilian Chris Cyborg does not intend to fight anymore for Invicta, an event that only has women's divisions. The organization's featherweight champion revealed that she will vacate her belt and intends to fight for the UFC featherweight title, currently held by the Dutchwoman Germaine DeRandamie.

Cyborg is so excited about the possibility of fighting for the UFC belt that she has already chosen a date for her eventual duel with De Randamie: July 29th. Ultimate will organize an event on this date in Anaheim, California, close to where the Brazilian currently lives and she wants the fight as a gift for the North American fans.

“I'm making this video to announce that I'm vacating my Invicta featherweight belt (…) After my two fights in Brazil, I would like to fight in the United States, for my fans here who can't go to Brazil to watch my fights. On July 29th, the UFC will be in Southern California and I would like to fight in Anaheim. Germaine, I hope you are healthy to accept my challenge”, he declared Chris Cyborg, in a video published on YouTube.

As a result, the expectation is that Megan anderson, current holder of the interim Invicta featherweight belt, becomes the lineal champion. The Australian, just 27 years old, is seen as the future of the division, having won the interim title by knocking out veteran Charmaine Tweet in the main fight of Invicta 21, in January this year. Anderson has a record of eight wins and two losses and has gone four fights without losing.
