Ronaldo Jacare has not yet 'swallowed' the scheduling of the duel between Michael Bisping e Georges St Pierre, scheduled to take place in the second half of 2017. Angry and outspoken, the Brazilian was harsh in his criticism and assured that he will not even watch the fight valid for the middleweight belt (up to 84kg.). Furthermore, he guaranteed that he will not accept an invitation from the UFC to act as a substitute, if one of the two fighters gets injured and leaves the fight.

“I want them to suffer a double knockout! I want them to get screwed, I don't care about this fight. It was the same thing I said when Bisping fought with Dan Henderson. I don't care, I'm not even going to watch this crap. I'm a champion, I wasn't born to fill anyone's hole. If they call me, they’ll be watching ships, and I’m not going anywhere!”, said Jacaré, during a press conference this Thursday (16).

Despite his irritation, the number 3 ranked player in the division admitted that he already expected the confrontation to happen, although he doesn't consider it fair. For him, St. Pierre would have to first beat the big names in the category and then start thinking about fighting for the belt.

“I already knew, I already imagined that this could happen. In reality, everything is happening in the UFC, right? What really upsets me is not the fact that St-Pierre fights Bisping; For me it's normal, he can fight. But he never fought at 185 (pounds, or 83,9kg), he always said he was too small. He always promised to fight Anderson (Silva, former champion of the category), everyone knows that. And now that he's fighting again, does he want to fight at 185? “Okay, cool, do you want to fight? Take it with me! I am here. Come fight with me. If you qualify – which you won't pass, for sure – you get Bisping. Get (Yoel) Romero! If you pass Romero, you get Bisping. No, he went straight for the belt. That was strange, it was bad for the middleweight division, because no one is happy with this joke,” he declared.

Without receiving the chance to fight for the title, Jacaré returns to the Octagon on April 15th, when he faces the young Robert whittaker at UFC on Fox 24. At 37 years old, the Brazilian is coming off a devastating victory over Tim Boetsch, in February this year. In total, there are seven triumphs and only one setback for the organization.
