In the year he celebrates 20 years as an MMA professional, Vitor belfort is considered by many, alongside Anderson Silva, as a sports icon in Brazil. With a scheduled fight against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fortaleza, this Saturday (11), the 'Phenomenon' never hid the fact that one of his intentions when retiring, although he hasn't even considered the possibility yet, is to leave a legacy for his fans and his successors.

“There are several (legacies). Fight for your dreams, write your story, reinvent yourself. There are many things. A legacy is something you leave, not what you say”, declared Vitor, in an interview with SUPER FIGHTSDuring Media Day from UFC Fortaleza.
Asked about the plan outlined to win again inside the octagon – there are two consecutive defeats –, Belfort assured that he is not concerned with the strategy outlined by Gastelum, only with his own skills.
“There’s not much to evaluate about him, I came here to evaluate myself. I came here to train, dedicate myself and show what I have to offer. (…) Let's see (how the fight will unfold). Whether we keep the fight standing or on the ground, we have no control over that. Wherever the fight is, I will be looking for victory”, concluded the Brazilian.
