Demian should face Jorge Masvidal at UFC Nashville in April

Demian Maia has given up waiting for his title shot and is expected to return to the octagon in UFC Nashville, on April 22, against Jorge masvidal. The fight must replace Cub swanson x Artem Lobov, at featherweight, and serve as the main attraction of the event. The information is from the Combate channel website.

The Brazilian had expressed his desire to wait for the winner of Tyron woodley x Stephen Thompson, who will fight for the welterweight title at UFC 209. However, the return of the former champion Georges St Pierre may have forced Demian's hand who, against Masvidal, will seek his seventh consecutive victory at 77 kg. It comes from triumphs over Alexander Yakovlev, Ryan LaFlare, Neil Magny, Gunnar Nelson, Matt Brown and Carlos Condit.
