Freddie Roach is one of the biggest names in boxing outside the ring. Trainer of names like Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, in addition to having worked with MMA fighters, the North American has free movement in the sport and said he believes in the fight between the UFC champion Conor McGregor and the former owner of belts in the noble art Floyd Mayweather.

“We are in a different time now. It looks like it's going to happen. Everything points in that direction. I think Conor will have his hands full with a guy like Floyd. But he is marketable, he is making noise”, revealed Roach to the North American program “The MMA Hour”.
In addition to training MMA fighters (he is currently working with the Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos), Freddie Roach has free movement in all areas of boxing. So much so that he received a visit from Floyd Mayweather, a rival of some of his athletes, a few months ago and said that the former boxer wants to fight with Conor McGregor become reality.
“According to Mayweather, yes (the fight will happen). He told me he would fight Conor. Everything points in that direction now. For a moment, I didn’t think it was possible,” he closed.
