Santiago Ponzinibbio He is, by far, experiencing the best moment of his career. After defeating Nardine Taleb at UFC Halifax, held last Sunday (19), the 'good Argentine', as he likes to be called, scored his fourth consecutive triumph in the welterweight category and has already started to achieve greater success. For the sequence, Santi asked for an opponent who is among the 10 best in the category.

“Put me in the top 10. I need to work, I'm prepared for the world and I'm healthy. In two or three months, put me in there against a Top 10. Neil Magny (5th) is a good guy, a good name, just like Donald Cerrone (8th) and Matt Brown (14th) too. Give me that! I’m prepared,” Ponzinibbio told the website “MMA Junkie” (USA).
Ponzinibbio's evolution in the octagon, according to the fighter himself, is not just in boxing, his main focus. For him, his physical conditioning and grappling are getting better, which makes him confident to face any fighter in the division.
“I'm ready for anything and anyone at welterweight. My boxing is very good. I have good technique, good physical conditioning and my grappling is getting better every day. I really feel like I'm prepared to face someone in the Top 10. I want to continue evolving and growing in the category”, concluded the Argentine.
Santiago Ponzinibbio, 30 years old, was a finalist in TUF Brasil 2, but was prevented from fighting in the final of the program after an injury. In Ultimate, there have already been eight fights, with six victories – three by knockout – and two defeats.
