The knockout of Thiago Marreta over Jack Marshman, in the preliminary portion of UFC Halifax this Sunday (19), earned the Brazilian an extra bonus of US$50. This is because he was awarded the Performance of the Night award. Beyond, Paul felder, who knocked out Alessandro Ricci in the first round, also received the award. For having done the Fight of the Night, Derrick Lewis and Travis Browne (Lewis' victory by knockout) received the same amount.

Marreta started the fight against Marshman losing. The Welshman's tight boxing caused him problems and he was almost knocked out in the first round. Felder, whose fight with Ricci opened the main portion of the event, landed a beautiful elbow against the Canadian, who broke his nose and immediately fell. The triumph comes after Felder lost to the Brazilian Francisco Massaranduba No. UFC Brasilia September last year.
Lewis and Browne had a fight full of twists and turns. Travis Browne started better, landing hard kicks to Lewis' stomach and almost knocking him out on several occasions. In the second round, Black Beast came to kill or be killed and managed to knock him out with a series of punches. Hapa still tried for a takedown, but ended up falling on the bottom and was dominated by ground and pound until he went out.
