The UFC arrives in Halifax, Canada, this Sunday (19), with a duel that will literally shake the structures of the octagon: the number 8 ranked heavyweight, Derrick Lewis, faces ninth-ranked Travis Browne in the main event of the event. In the second most important fight of the night, the former welterweight champion John hendricks makes his middleweight debut against Hector Lombard, former Bellator champion.

UFC Halifax will feature three Brazilians. Cézar Mutante will try to win his fourth straight fight against Elias Theodorou, in a fight between former TUF international champions. The average weight Thiago Marreta will try to interrupt the uncomfortable sequence of two defeats against Jack Marshman, while Reginaldo Vieira welcomes the newcomer Aiemann Zahabi, in roosters.

Lewis is seen as one of the great promises of the heavyweight division. The “Black Beast”, as he is known, comes from five consecutive victories, including a devastating knockout over the Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga and victory by decision against the veteran Roy Nelson. Browne is in a bad phase: he is coming off two consecutive defeats for the first time in his career. The setbacks were for the former champions Cain Velazquez e Fabricio Werdum.

In the second most important fight of the night, John hendricks debuts at middleweight after being forced to move up a category. The former owner of the welterweight belt had been having major problems breaking the weight limit of the old division and was asked to compete at middleweight. He faces Hector Lombard, who went down to 77 kg., but went back up, and was welcomed back with a knockout defeat to Dan Henderson.
