UFC president, Dana White, confirmed this Friday (10), in an interview with the North American channel ESPN, that the Brazilian José Aldo will defend the featherweight title seeking unification against the current interim champion, Max Holloway. The fight should take place at UFC 212, which will be held on June 3, in Rio de Janeiro, according to information on the Combate channel website.

The duel between Aldo and Holloway should have taken place at UFC 208, which takes place this Saturday. The Hawaiian, who fought at UFC 206 in early December, was injured and was unable to accept the fight, which led to Aldo asking for lightweight fights. The Brazilian regained the belt, first on an interim basis, by winning Frankie Edgar at UFC 200. However, the interim title became linear after Ultimate took away Conor McGregor of the post – the Irishman officially remains only lightweight champion.
