UFC president Dana White once again defended Ronda Rousey, knocked out for the second time in two fights at the end of last year against Amanda nunes. The Ultimate boss said he doesn't care if she retires, as he considers her a friend and wants her to do what's best for herself. The manager also praised the former bantamweight champion's work ethic and said that Ronda “built” the women's divisions that currently exist in the UFC.

“She is a human being. An excellent friend of mine and she's no f***ing goose that lays golden eggs (…) Everything she told me she was going to do, she did. She worked hard for this sport, for this company, for women. She worked herself to the bone. I've never had a fighter that worked (her advertising) like her. She made a lot of money. I know that to her it doesn't matter – her legacy matters more to her than anything. But she knows one thing, sometimes we can't have it all. But let's be clear, she built this. She really did it,” Dana told the North American magazine Sports Illustrated.

PUBLICITY:

Rousey has not yet decided whether or not to fight again, but before the duel against the Lioness at UFC 207, she had admitted that the fight against the Brazilian would be one of the last of her career. After winning Olympic bronze in judo in 2008, Ronda became an MMA fighter and won her first 12 fights, submitting or knocking out all her opponents. At the end of 2015, she lost her UFC belt to Holly holm and, a year later, came the defeat to Amanda.
