Jacaré's opponent, Boetsch praises the Brazilian: “He's the best fighter in the division”

It wasn't just fans who were surprised when the duel between Ronaldo Jacare and Tim Boetsch was scheduled for UFC 208, which takes place this Saturday, February 11th, in Brooklyn (USA). Currently 13th in the middleweight rankings (up to 84kg), the “Bárbaro”, as he is known, revealed that he also did not expect an opportunity to face the Brazilian, number 3 in the division, but was grateful for the opportunity received by the organization

"I got confused. I didn't know why I was getting that call. I think he wanted to fight, and they ended up finding a guy who wanted to fight him. I know that a lot of other connections were made, and most of the guys in the division don't want to enter the octagon with Jacaré. He's very dangerous, and I'm sure that was a deciding factor in why they refused to face him. But I'm very happy to be here, and also that he agreed to face me. I'm grateful for the opportunity, because I'll be exactly where I want to be when I beat him”, declared the American fighter.

When asked about the qualities of his opponent, Boetsch did not hold back on words to praise Jacaré, but highlighted that he is not afraid to face any opponent. “Jacaré is probably the best fighter in the division at the moment. He is feared by many people. But if you’re afraid to face someone, what kind of fighter are you?” concluded Boetsch.
