Without officially winning since October 2012, when he knocked out Stephan bonnar at UFC 153, Anderson Silva won a huge crowd for the duel against Derek Brunson at UFC 208, this Saturday (11), in Brooklyn (USA). For the featherweight champion (up to 66kg) José Aldo, his compatriot's streak of victories is close to coming to an end.

“It will be a victory for the black man. I'm rooting for him. I hope he can win again, he's been fighting for a long time and hasn't won. For me, he will always be the champion, it's not a question of going back to how he was before, it's about getting there and winning”, said Aldo, in an interview with the website 'Combate.com'.
Asked if Anderson's age (41 years old) could be an obstacle, Aldo says no. According to him, the former champion still has the capacity to surprise in the Octagon.
“I think that nowadays, seeing him physically, he is still doing well. I recently saw that his carcass is looking great. So, as long as he's like this, with wood to burn, skill... There are athletes that we can't question whether it's possible or not, he's a different guy, so at any moment he can pull something out of the hat. I always trust and believe in him,” he concluded.
Without winning since 2012, Anderson has had five fights since then, with four defeats and one 'No contest'. His most recent performance was in July 2016, when he was beaten by Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.
