Ultimate returns to Denver, the site of the first event in the company's history in 1993, with a show for fans to keep an eye on. In the main fight of the night, a true duel of muses. The North American of Venezuelan descent Julianna Pena faces the Ukrainian woman living in Peru Valentina Shevchenko in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg.), the winner of the duel will be the next challenger for the Brazilian's belt Amanda nunes.
The UFC Denver fight program also features four Brazilians scheduled: Raphael Assunção, Luiz Henrique Frankenstein, Marcos Rogério Pezão and Alexandre pantoja will be in action on the preliminary card of the show

Pena, 27 years old, is undefeated so far in Ultimate, with four victories and promises to put on a show against Valentina Shevchenko, whose only defeat in the UFC occurred precisely to the champion Amanda nunes, in a very balanced decision.
Despite the setback, the Ukrainian is full of morale, after dominating the former owner of the bantamweight belt Holly holm last year. The duel promises a lot, as the two are considered the best bantamweight athletes – apart from the champion. It is possible that the duel between the winner of this fight and Amanda nunes takes place in Rio de Janeiro, in June, when the UFC arrives for a pay-per-view event, which has not yet been set.

In the second most important fight of the night, the promise is a show. Two fighting stars standing up, Donald Cerrone e Jorge masvidal challenge themselves in search of jumping the line for the welterweight belt. Cowboy has already signaled that he intends to face Demian Maia for the right to fight for the title, if he passes Masvidal. Not an easy task, as the Cuban-American is coming off two stunning victories, over Ross Pearson and Jake ellenberger.
The only former champion in this Saturday's event (28), Andrei Arlovski has a big challenge ahead. Coming from three consecutive defeats, Pitbull tries to keep his job against the dangerous promise Francis Ngannou. Guaranteed knockout, as both men have heavy hands. While Arlovski is more experienced, Ngannou is on a better run and is undefeated in the UFC, with four wins, three by knockout and one by submission.
Brazilians in action
Despite being on the preliminary card, the Brazilians are in notable fights, mainly Raphael Assunção. Number 4 in the bantamweight ranking, he faces the great promise aljamain sterling, considered the new Jon Jones. The North American is coming off a disappointing defeat to the experienced Bryan caraway, but the winner of this fight can seek important positions towards the category belt, currently with cody garbrandt. Luiz Henrique Frankenstein faces Jordan Johnson, Marcos Foot (who didn't make the light heavyweight weight limit) takes Jeremy Kimball and Alexandre pantoja makes his official flyweight debut against Eric Shelton.
