Mayweather says he will only fight again if it is against McGregor

Retired from boxing since September 2015, Floyd said that only a duel with Conor would make him return to the ring

The soap opera involving Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor continues to make waves in the world of fights. After Dana White revealed that made an offer of US$25 million for the UFC lightweight champion and “Money” to face each other under boxing rules, the former boxer stated that the only fight that would make him abandon his retirement would be against the Irishman.

“I'm a businessman. We can get crazy numbers. If Conor McGregor, (going back) makes sense to me. But if it's anything else, it doesn't make sense. Not for me”, declared Floyd, in an interview with the TV channel “Showtime” during a boxing match in Brooklyn, New York (USA), in which he acts as promoter.

Recently, Floyd said that Conor denied an offer made by his company to pay him US$15 million plus a cut of pay-per-view sales, against a fixed US$100 million salary for the multi-time boxing champion.
