The rivalry between the champion cody garbrandt e TJ Dillashaw It will finally be resolved in the octagon. The UFC announced this Sunday (15) that the bantamweights will be the coaches of the 25th edition of The Ultimate Fighter, the company's traditional reality show, and will face each other at the end of the program, with the date and location of the confrontation not yet defined.
Former training partners at the Team Alpha Male gym, 'No Love' and TJ had been teasing each other in recent weeks. Recently, the champion even said that his rival was 'a cancer' on the team, guaranteeing that he will beat the challenger.
This will be Garbrandt's first title defense, who became champion after defeating Dominick Cruz on December 30, 2016, at UFC 207. Since then, Cody began considering superfights against Conor McCregor and even the Brazilian José Aldo, ignoring Dillashaw. Former champion and now second in the bantamweight rankings, TJ is coming off a victory over John Lineker, in the same event that crowned Garbrandt.
