Despite being known as the voice of the UFC, Bruce Buffer rarely makes technical comments about fighters. The presenter changed that when talking about the rooster champion's style Amanda nunes and ended up making an unusual comparison when talking about the Brazilian's fighting style.
"In case of Amanda nunes, she's like a Chuck Liddell with a clit. It's the same, but without the penis. She's a woman who can move back and forth, who doesn't punch and hit you in the face, she hits you through your head. She’s probably going to hold that belt for a long time,” Buffer commented on “The Pony Hour” podcast.
Liddell was one of the most dominant champions in light heavyweight history. Known for his heavy hands, the American has victories over Wanderlei Silva, Renato Babalu, Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz. He is also considered one of the pioneers of MMA in the United States, having been one of the coaches on the historic first season of The Ultimate Fighter. Amanda is the first Brazilian woman to win a UFC title, achieved in July last year on Miesha Tate.
