Amanda praises Ronda's career, but asks her to retire

The Brazilian also criticized the former champion's coach a lot

the champion Amanda nunes made a point of paying tribute to the former owner of the belt Ronda Rousey, whom she beat in the main fight of UFC 207. The Brazilian recognized the importance of the North American in helping women's MMA enter Ultimate, but asked her victim to consider retirement.

“I told Ronda that she had done a lot for the sport and I thanked her very much. Rousey is still the biggest name in the division. She's already a millionaire, I don't understand why she keeps doing this. She needs to retire”, commented the Lioness in a post-event press conference.

Amanda made a point of criticizing her victim's main trainer, Armenian Edmon Tarverdyan, who specializes in boxing. For the champion, the coach made Rousey think she was a high-level boxer.

“Ronda's coach put some crazy thoughts in her head and, from then on, her career started to decline. I'm the exchanger here, not her. I feel a little bad for her,” said Amanda.

The Brazilian reached her seventh victory in the UFC, with just one setback. In 2016 alone, there were three triumphs: against Valentina Shevchenko, Miesha Tate, in a fight that gave him the title, and now against Ronda Rousey.
