Brazilian Jessica Andrade traveled to Las Vegas in vain. Despite trying to find a new opponent for UFC 207, Bate-Estaca had to content himself with the promise that he will fight again in January. And, for her, a victory on January 28th, at UFC Denver, could guarantee her a title fight against the strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

“They tried to find (a new opponent), didn’t find anyone and it was until January 28th. I hope so. I don't know if it will be the fight, because the opponent would probably be the Angela Hill, who shouldn't be able to fight, there was some problem in her family and maybe she won't fight. I'll wait, if God wants to have another fight in January and then fight Joanna. I’ll be ready”, commented the Brazilian in an interview on the “Combate” channel website.

After a period of ups and downs in the bantamweight division, Bate-Estaca has two victories in two straw fights – against Jessica penne e Joanne calderwood. She even had a duel scheduled for UFC 207 against Maryna moroz, but the Ukrainian was injured. It was speculated that Angela Hill would return to Ultimate to face her, but the American ran into bureaucratic problems with USADA.
