The challenger for the bantamweight title, cody garbrandt, believes that Dominick Cruz is close to retiring and wants to become a full-time fight commentator. The current champion already works at FOX, but is split between training for UFC 207 and his new job. For “No Love”, this shows that he no longer has his mind set on the profession of fighting.

“I believe Cruz is preparing for the next chapter of his life. He is a great commentator and already works with this. But this shows that he is losing focus. Two weeks before the fight and he's commentating? You should just be focused on me”, commented Garbrandt, in a video captured by the website “MMA Fighting”, adding that the champion’s knee problems will lead to a knockout defeat.

“He knows he has to dance around the octagon and run away from a knockout artist like me for five rounds. It's hard to do that because he's old and now has two knee surgeries. You can’t move the way he moves,” he explained.

Cruz and Garbrandt have the second most important fight at UFC 207, which will be held on December 30th. In the main duel of the night, the Brazilian Amanda nunes defends her bantamweight belt against the former champion Ronda Rousey.
