The Brazilian junior gypsy dos Santos didn't get the title fight he wanted and will face an old opponent in his next fight. The former heavyweight champion will be in the main fight of UFC Halifax, on February 19th, against Stefan struve.
Cigano tried, through social media, to schedule a new duel against the current champion Stipe Miocic. Last Tuesday (13), the first fight between them completed two years. On that occasion, the Brazilian came out on top, winning by unanimous decision.
This will be the second meeting between dos Santos and Struve. Cigano knocked out the Dutchman in the first round, in a fight valid for UFC 95, in February 2009. Practically eight years later, the rematch was scheduled. Struve is coming off a victory over Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC 204, while the former champion overcame Ben Rothwell in his last fight
