After innovating in the 24th edition of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter, a season that gave the champion (Tim Elliott) the chance to compete for the flyweight belt (up to 57kg) against Demetrious Johnson, the UFC prepared a new surprise for TUF 25.
The competition, which will be held in the welterweight category (77kg), will only feature fighters who have already participated in an old edition of the reality show. However, the competitor cannot have been champion. The information is from the website “Combate.com”.
Some athletes were already being considered to be part of the 25th edition, such as Brazilian Dheigo Lima (TUF 19), Frenchman Mehdi Baghdad (TUF 22) and North American Hayder Hassan (TUF 21). Recordings will begin in January 2017, but the coaches who will lead TUF 25 have not yet been announced.
