The UFC arrives this Friday (09) in Albany, New York (USA), for the first event of the double held by the organization this weekend. With a main card full of fighters from the two heaviest categories in the world, UFC Fight Night 102 brings a fierce and competitive duel in the main event.

The heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Shamil Abdurakhimov face off in the main event, with the winner placing in the top 10 of the category. Fueled, Lewis comes from four consecutive victories, the last of which over the experienced Roy Nelson, last June. In Ultimate since 2014, the “Black Beast”, as he is known, already has nine fights in the organization, seven victories (six by knockout) and two defeats.
Abdurakhimov, in turn, has less experience than his opponent, and has only had three fights in the company, with two positive results and one negative. His most recent performance was in October this year, when he surpassed Walt Harris in the unanimous decision of the judges. Unknown to the general public, Shamil wants to surprise and earn his place among the best in the division.
In the second most important duel of the night, the heavyweights Francis Ngannou and Anthony Hamilton find themselves in opposite situations. Ngannou, 12th in the rankings, won the three fights he fought in the UFC, all by knockout, while Hamilton has not yet managed to achieve a winning streak: there are three defeats and three wins.
Still on the main card, two clashes in the light heavyweight category. The first of these is between Gian Villante and the rookie Saparbek Safarov, then Corey anderson and Sean O'Connell face each other.
In the preliminary portion of the show, the highlights are the two Brazilians who are in action. In the opening fight of the event, strawweight Juliana Lima seeks a comeback against JJ Aldrich, while featherweight Tiago Trator faces Shane burgos in the fourth fight of the night.
