Conor McGregor decided to appeal the millionaire fine (around R$ 525 thousand) that he received from the Nevada Athletic Commission, due to the “war” of water bottles and cans carried out alongside Nate diaz during the pre-UFC 202 press conference in August of this year. The information is from the “MMA Fighting” website (USA).

The fine, imposed last October, has not yet been paid, which prevents McGregor from fighting in the state of Nevada until the punishment is paid off. In addition to the fine, the Irishman will have to do 50 hours of community service and commit to developing an anti-bullying campaign in partnership with NAC. The same Commission recently denied Conor a license to box in the state.

The appeal will be analyzed by the civil court of Clark County, in the city of Las Vegas, which will decide whether or not to reevaluate the Nevada Commission's decision.

Nate diaz, another protagonist involved in the confusion, has not yet been heard, but the North American's trial date should be announced soon. The tendency, however, is for the North American to receive a similar punishment to his rival.
