Conor McGregor, finally, he commented on the UFC's decision, which took away his featherweight belt and automatically elected José Aldo as the new linear champion of the category. Ironic, as usual, McGregor said he didn't care about losing the belt, and assured that he is still the champion of two different divisions.

“There is this thing that the UFC is trying to take away my belt. But that didn't happen. The titles are mine, they are in my house now. I'm still world champion in two divisions. Someone will have to physically take them away from me. I read the articles, I look at the websites, but the belt is still with me. The titles are at my house. You (Aldo) can play with these fake belts as much as you want. José was knocked out and Eddie was knocked out. You are looking at the world champion in two weights. And that. I will tell the UFC that. I love the company, but you don't fool anyone with that. But ok, good luck with that”, declared the fighter, in a question and answer session in the city of Belfast (IRN).

Conor also reiterated his desire to switch to boxing. The Irishman, who recently obtained his license to work in the state of California, once again mentioned a confrontation against Floyd Mayweather, considered one of the best boxers of all time.

“With the work ethic I have, focusing solely on boxing, no one can say what I could achieve. I wouldn't go in there just to show off, I'd go in there to knock him out, and that's it. He can be hit. It's been hit before. Age comes to everyone too, so I know they know that. I know that size is on my side, wingspan is on my side and youth is on my side. So they have a lot to lose, so I know why they are refusing. McGregor got his boxing license “Oh, Floyd’s in the Bahamas, he doesn’t give a shit.” They're refusing now, but that's okay. I'll leave them like that. I have other opportunities in boxing, other opponents in mind, some opponents that Floyd has already faced. I might be able to bring anyone from the sport, so let’s see what happens,” he concluded.
