Former UFC heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum He is not at all happy with the way he has been treated by Ultimate. After publicly complaining about the company's agreement with Reebok, and subsequently being punished by losing his position as UFC commentator for Latin America, the Brazilian once again demonstrated dissatisfaction, casting doubt on his future with the company.

“In my contract I still have four or five fights. In my future, what I see is that I will be the champion again, right? This I see clearly. I'm going to win this fight against Cain Velásquez and then I see myself facing the Stipe Miocic. When the contract ends, I don't know if I'll renew it, I'm not sure. One thing I will say: I wear the shirt 100%, whether it's a sponsor's shirt or an event shirt, I'm the kind of guy people can always count on. However, when there is no reciprocity, there is no way to wear the company's shirt 100%. When I'm happy, I do everything I can to make things turn out in the best possible way, there's that energy, but when I'm not happy, and at that moment I'm not happy with the organization at all, it's hard to say. I'm actually a little upset, after all this time fighting, after all, I consider myself a veteran, I'm 39 years old, I started fighting a little late, at 20 years old, but I feel like a veteran in the fight. Maybe I'll receive a proposal for another event when the contract ends, I don't know, I can't confirm anything, because so far there haven't been any. Who knows in the future, when the contract ends, if I'm happy again, if I'm happy again in the organization I'm in, suddenly I stay, suddenly I leave, suddenly I stop, then there's a lot of things to happen” ”, declared “Vai Cavalo”, in an interview with the website “Combate.com”.

Fabrício also revealed that he wasn't even invited to UFC 205, an event that took place in New York, even though he asked for a ticket to the organization. ““I went to New York to watch UFC 205 and I didn't have any invitation to the event, I don't know if that was why or not. My manager, Ali Abdelaziz, called Ultimate before the photo controversy saying that I wanted to be one of the guest fighters at the event, but they said no, that there was no longer a place. Maybe one thing has nothing to do with the other, but I went to the event with a ticket bought by my manager, I didn't have any advice regarding the UFC separating us from the fans or anything like that. Whether we like it or not, we are public people and by entering a fight event we end up causing a commotion among the fans. I went like a normal person, but I'm not complaining about it. In the end it was cool, because I had contact with the public and it's something I hadn't done in a long time. I don't mind paying, it was a hugely popular event, no problem if they didn't have an invitation. But I thought it was absurd that there wasn't a minimum of assistance there to help us. I didn't feel good being at the event I was part of. I fight for the UFC and there I felt like a nobody, like I was a person who didn't belong there”, said the Brazilian.

Fabricio Werdum return to the octagon in his rematch against Cain Velásquez at UFC 207, December 30, in Las Vegas. On the same night, two title fights will take place: in the main fight, bantamweight Amanda nunes puts her belt on the line for the first time against the challenger Ronda Rousey, who returns after more than a year without fighting. In the second most important fight of the show, the champion Dominick Cruz faces cody garbrandt, in a duel valid for the bantamweight title. In addition to Werdum and Nunes, three more Brazilians will be in action: John Lineker, Alex Cowboy e Antonio Shoe Guy, who face TJ Dillashaw, Tim means e Marvin vettorirespectively.
