“I know that Amanda is a very solid fighter and that her punches are as strong as bricks. She was a very worthy opponent and this fight should be very interesting. I want Amanda to win. She is a person with a good heart and very kind. I think she deserves it”, said Miesha, in an interview with the website MMA Junkie (USA).

According to the former champion, the knockout suffered by Rousey in front of Holly holm at UFC 193, in November 2015, will influence the muse's performance. “The question that remains is whether she wants to fight again for her own desire or whether she feels obligated to do so. Will she get the knockout on her head? Will she escape the standup? This will all influence her performance”, she concluded.

Interestingly, Miesha Tate has already been defeated by both fighters. There were two defeats against Ronda, including: the first in 2012, still in Strikeforce, a now-defunct MMA organization. The rematch took place at UFC 168, in 2013, in the fateful event in which Anderson Silva broke his leg fighting Chris Weidman. On that occasion, Miesha was again submitted with an armbar. The duel against Amanda took place at the historic UFC 200, a fight in which the North American lost the category belt after being submitted (rear naked choke) by the Bahian in the first round.
