Last Saturday (19), Gegard Mousasi achieved his fourth consecutive victory in Ultimate by knocking out Uriah Hall in the main fight of UFC Belfast, confirming the best phase of his career. Already aiming for a future title fight in the middleweight category, Mousasi believes that a victory against Luke Rockhold would put him close to the title shot. Furthermore, it would “force” the organization to renew his contract, which ends after his next fight.

“I'm not afraid to fight anyone, but you have to be smart. I prefer to face Luke Rockhold Because I have much more to gain. I only have one more fight left on my contract, and if I fight him and defeat him, I will be the next challenger for the belt. That's my goal and my plan. Whether they like it or not, they will have to renew with me”, said Gegard, in an interview with the program 'The MMA Hour' (USA).
