Without an opponent, Kennedy challenges Anderson, Belfort and Lesnar for UFC 206

Frustrated with yet another cancellation of the fight he would have against Rashad evans, Tim Kennedy did not give up on his plans to fight at UFC 206, on December 10th. To do this, the North American went to Twitter and launched challenges to several names, including Anderson Silva, Vitor belfort and even Brock Lesnar.

Kennedy has been scheduled to face Evans twice in recent months. Originally the fight would take place at UFC 205, in New York (USA), on November 12, but the former light heavyweight champion was unable to obtain a license to fight. The same happened when the fight was rescheduled for UFC 206, which leaves Kennedy again without an opponent for the attraction in Toronto (Canada).

Fighter suspended for six months for not showing up to weigh-in

The first to be challenged was Canadian welterweight Patrick Cotê, who has already fought in the top division and even challenged for the belt. “Hey, how’s the weather up there (he said this in a Canadian accent)? I wanted to see if you would be interested in joining the Toronto card”, asked Kennedy, who immediately heard the negative response from Cotê, who is recovering from elbow surgery.

The next thing discussed was Anderson Silva: “I know it’s been a minute since you last won a fight. I can be an easy fight marriage for you. I have bad wrestling, horrible striking…”

With no response from “Spider”, Kennedy tried to pick a fight with Belfort. “UFC 206 needs another fight. I would even accept fighting at catchweight to compensate for his daddy body”, joked the American, referring to Belfort's physical shape since USADA anti-doping tests were implemented in the organization.

Finally, Kennedy ran after Lesnar, who fights two categories above him. “UFC 206 needs you. I'm not going to give you such a big beating. You could even hunt in Canada after the fight”, he teased.

So far, Kennedy does not have a defined opponent for UFC 206. Ultimate is considering casting Kelvin Gastelum for the duel, but the athlete is temporarily suspended for not having attended the weigh-in for the fight he would have against Donald Cerrone at UFC 205.
