Considered one of the main promises of Brazilian MMA, the welterweight Warlley alves will take to the octagon this Saturday (19), at UFC Sao Paulo, with a single thought: to get back on the path to victory. Defeated for the first time professionally in his last fight, at UFC 198, Warlley guarantees that he had to change some important points in his training routine to overcome the loss of his unbeaten record.

“I changed my training more, it was an evolution that I had. I trained a lot to be able to overcome this obstacle (the loss of invincibility) and the specter of defeat. God willing, I will leave here with victory”, said the fighter, in an exclusive interview with Super Lutas.

To turn things around, Warlley will have to overcome the Nigerian Kamaru Usman, winner of TUF 21. According to the Brazilian, whoever manages to best impose their strategy will emerge victorious.

“He will want to grab, go for a tackle, but I, on the other hand, will want to let go, move and hit him. I think he knows that I'm going to do this and I know what he's going to do, so whoever manages to impose his strategy will be the winner”, said Alves.

At 25 years old, Warlley has a professional record of 10 wins and just one loss. In the UFC, the TUF Brasil 3 champion has four positive results and one negative.
