Just over a month after knocking out Hector Urbina in the UFC Brasilia, held last September, the welterweight Vincent Luque returns to the octagon next Saturday (12), when he will face Belal Muhammad | at UFC 205 in New York.

With three consecutive victories in the organization, the Brazilian wants to make it four consecutive victories to place himself among the best in his division.
“I know I'm doing the right job, managing to stand out and move up in the category. I want to continue growing with each fight and I hope to soon be part of the top 15”, declared the fighter in an interview with UFC Brasil.
Scheduled on the card with just a few weeks to go before the event – he came on as a replacement for the injured Lyman Good –, Luque believes that the little preparation time won't hurt him during the fight. “After my fight in Brasília, I took a week off and went back to training. I was at a good pace. The biggest challenge was to lose weight”, he guaranteed.
When analyzing his opponent, Vicente was optimistic and said that the American's fighting style could favor him.
“My focus will be to impose my game and bring the fight to me. I saw that he really accepts stand-up fighting, which is my specialty, but I'm also prepared to go to the ground, if necessary. But I believe he really goes for striking, and that style matches mine well”, analyzed the Brazilian.
At just 24 years old, the TUF 21 participant is considered one of the Brazilian promises in Ultimate. In total, he has 10 wins and five losses in his career (3-1 in the UFC).
