With a fight scheduled against Cortney Casey for UFC Fight Night São Paulo, which takes place on November 19th, at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, Claudinha gadelha seems to already be thinking about his next fights within the organization.

Number one in the strawweight rankings, Claudinha competed for the category belt last July, but was defeated by the champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. To win the challenger position again, she admits facing her compatriot Jessica Andrade “Bate-Estaca”, a duel that, according to Gadelha, would show the strength of women’s MMA in the country.
“I think so, it would show (the strength of women’s MMA). The best fighters are Brazilian, there's Cris (Cyborg), Amanda (Nunes), me and Jéssica (Bate-Estaca), so there are a lot of Brazilians standing out, and when you see a Brazilian, she's always in the spotlight. top of the rankings, so this (Gadelha x Bate-Estaca) would be a great fight to take place in Brazil”, declared Claudinha, in a press conference for the UFC Sao Paulo.
Despite suggesting a duel against “Bate-Estaca”, Gadelha praised her compatriot's trajectory and current phase within the under-52kg division.
“Jéssica (Bate-Estaca) arrived very well in the category, she is a very strong girl, but strength doesn’t win fights. It's not a bodybuilding championship or a shot put (laughs). She beat some good athletes, but light for the category. I think she had to go through one more test before fighting for the belt. She is a girl who has more than ten fights in the UFC, she deserves to be at the top of the rankings. She fought with heavier girls and moved down to strawweight very well, but I think she still needs one more big test.”
