UFC Australia, which will be held in Melbourne on November 26th, has a new main fight. After the former champion Luke Rockhold get hurt and cancel the rematch against Ronaldo Jacare, initially scheduled as the main event, Ultimate promoted the duel between Robert whittaker e Derek Brunson as the main event of the night.
This will be the first time that the two fighters will be the protagonists of a card in the organization. Whittaker, seventh in the rankings, will fight 'at home' and will have the support of the fans. At 25 years old, the TUF Smashes winner has seven wins and two losses in Ultimate. Brunson, in turn, is number eight in the rankings and will try to defend a streak of five consecutive victories, including four knockouts in the first round.
Ronaldo Jacare, who was left without an opponent after Rockhold's injury, was removed from the card and has already announced, through his manager, that he will only accept to face the champion Michael Bisping at your next appointment. With Jacaré's departure, Brazil was left without any representatives at UFC Australia.
