“I won’t (continue) for long, I’m ending (my career). This is certainly one of my last fights. I want everyone to watch, because the show won't last forever,” said Rousey, in an interview with the North American program “The Ellen Show”.
Without fighting since November 2015, when she lost her unbeaten record in MMA after being knocked out by Holly holm At UFC 193, Rousey went through difficult times in her personal life, to the point of admitting to having considered taking her own life. Back in training, the fighter admitted that the fatigue accumulated from countless training camps for fights is one of the main factors that make her think about hanging up her gloves.
“I think it’s the preparation that is most tiring. If I had a fight right now, I would fight now, go to dinner, and not be so tired. It's the weeks and weeks of preparation beforehand, you're going to face this person, it's a confrontation, the most important thing in your entire life, millions of people are watching... It's this expectation for weeks on end, if it happened now I wouldn't even be nervous. The worst thing is the weeks of waiting” she concluded.
Former Ultimate bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey , 27 years old, has already had 13 fights in his career, winning 12 – all by knockout or submission – and losing only one. Another important achievement in her fighting career was becoming the first American to win an Olympic medal in judo, a bronze in Beijing 2008.
