The guarantee is the newspaper “The Sun”, from Ireland. This Thursday (27), the publication cited sources close to the fighter and stated that McGregor's intention is to dedicate his time to his family and his longtime girlfriend, Dee Devlin.

“He is determined to take a break. He's telling people he wants a break. It probably won't be forever, but the time to step away is now. He knows that if he wins at UFC 205, he can come back in a year or two and make a huge money fight. He will be able to determine his price and return”, quotes the newspaper, without identifying the source.
UFC president Dana White had previously said that McGregor would make a personal announcement shortly after the November event. However, the leader showed that he did not know exactly what it would be about.

McGregor will face Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 and will try to make history: current featherweight champion, the Irishman will also seek to win the lightweight belt. If he wins, he will become the first fighter to hold two UFC belts simultaneously.
