the controversial Chael Sonnen attacked once again this Tuesday. Free from doping suspension and scheduled to return to combat against Brian Stann at UFC 136, in October, the North American spoke again about Brazilians and guarantees that he will be in the country at UFC Rio, an event that takes place on August 27th, in the capital of Rio.
“I'm definitely going (to UFC Rio), I have a lot of fun there. It’s all very beautiful”, he highlighted in an interview with the UFC Connected program before being asked if he knew he was considered public enemy number one in the country. “This is ridiculous, they love me in Brazil,” said Chael.
In the interview, Sonnen also responded to the Brazilian's invitation Demian Maia, who during the UFC Sem Limites program on RedeTV, said, in a provocative tone, that he would teach him the triangle defenses, a move that the North American lost in four of his fights.
“Maybe I will accept it (laughs), it could be useful. Demian Maia It’s fantastic, I might accept that offer,” said Sonnen.
Confident in Okami's victory over Anderson in the main fight of UFC Rio, Chael said he would be interested in facing the Brazilian even if he wasn't the category champion.
“Anderson and I will end up meeting again... He won't be the champion anymore, because Okami will take away his belt in his homeland, but I don't mind beating him some more just for fun”, he concluded.
