Recently released from the UFC, Antonio Pezão has already worked out the details for his next MMA fight. The Brazilian, who competed for the belt of the main fighting organization on the planet, will face an undefeated fighter at an event in Russia.
According to the website “Tass.ru”, Pezão will face off against Ivan Shtyrkov, 28 years old and who has won all four of his professional fights. None of the fights reached a decision: there were two submissions (including one over Jeff Monson, former UFC heavyweight title challenger) and two knockouts.
According to the Russian publication, Pezão will receive a salary of US$500 (R$1,5 million at current exchange rates) to participate in the fight. The Brazilian faced Cain Velazquez for the UFC title in 2013, but lost by knockout in the first round. In his last eight fights, he suffered six defeats, one victory and one draw.
