Vicente Luque replaces fighter caught doping and faces Belal at UFC 205

Brazilian replaces Lyman Good and faces Belal Muhammad in New York, November 12th

One day after Lyman Good was caught in a surprise drug test and was removed from the fight against Belal Muhammad | at UFC 205, on November 12th, in New York, Ultimate confirmed the Brazilian Vincent Luque as Lyman's replacement. The fight will be part of the preliminary card of the event.

Luque is going through a good phase in the organization and has three consecutive victories, two in 2016. After submitting Hayder Hassan in December last year, he beat Alvaro Herrera, in July, and Hector Urbina, in September. At just 24 years old, the TUF 21 participant is considered one of the Brazilian promises in Ultimate. In total, he has 10 wins and five losses in his career (3-1 in the UFC).

Belal, in turn, debuted in the UFC in July this year, when he lost on points to Alan Jouban. However, he rebounded by knocking out Augusto Montano last September. At 28 years old, this will be his third duel in just four months at the company. In his professional record there are 10 triumphs and only one setback.

The main fight of UFC 205 will be between Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor, valid for the lightweight belt. The night will also feature Stephen Thompson x Tyron woodley for the welterweight title, Joanna Jedrzejczyk x Karolina Kowalkiewicz for the women's straw title, in addition to the participation of former champions Chris Weidman, Miesha Tate, Frankie Edgar e Rashad evans.
