Felipe Sertanejo hits with Ultimate and debuts at UFC Rio

Last weekend was full of news for Brazilian fighters. In addition to Johnny Eduardo who was hired and announced on the UFC Rio card, another Tupiniquim athlete also agreed with the largest MMA organization in the world. The featherweight Felipe “Sertanejo” Arantes He is the new Ultimate athlete and already has a date set for his debut. Gold Team athlete replaces injured Canadian Antonio “Pato” Carvalho and face his compatriot Yuri Marajó at UFC Rio, an event scheduled to take place on August 27th, at the HSBC Arena, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

 

Sertanejo, who has a record of 13 wins and three losses, is undefeated in MMA for nine fights. In his last appearance, Felipe comes from a no contest (No Contest) against Andy Main at UCC 4, held in April. In turn, Marajó also has an excellent sequence of good results. With a record of 25 wins and three losses, Yuri has won nine in a row. In his last appearance, the athlete from Pará defeated Ricardo Lamas at WEC 53, held in December last year.
