Former light heavyweight champion Rashad evans is without an opponent in the main fight of UFC 133, an event that takes place on August 6, in Philadelphia, in the United States. Climbed to face Phil Davis, Evans had his opponent injured during preparation and awaits the announcement of a new opponent. Despite the Brazilian Lyoto Machida be invited to the fight, the organization's first option was Tito Ortiz, who ended up refusing the duel. Through his Twitter, the veteran fighter explained why he didn't accept the fight.
“I have a life to take care of. The world of MMA is based on making the right choices. If you knew everything I've been through, you would understand”, said Tito, who broke a streak of five fights without victories by submitting Ryan Bader at UFC 132.
“Timing is everything in life. This is a year of reconstruction, not of do or be killed”, concluded the Bad Boy from Huntington Beach.
If Tito accepted the challenge, the duel would be a repeat of the fight that took place at UFC 73, held in July 2007, when the fight ended in a draw.
