Ronda nutritionist rules out Cyborg and suggests fight against Polish UFC champion

For Mike Doce, it is more likely that Rousey will move down a category rather than move up for a possible confrontation with the Brazilian

Depending on the will of Mike Dolce, a nutritionist from Ronda Rousey, the much speculated duel against Chris Cyborg it won't happen. For Mike, it is easier for Ronda to go down in weight than to go up, which would even allow a duel against Joanna Jedrzejczyk, current UFC strawweight champion.

“Why would Ronda, who weighs between 67kg and 69kg when she is out of training to compete, give such a huge advantage to a fighter who weighs around 79,5kg? No male athlete would do that, and I think it's disrespectful for the public to imagine that Ronda should do it”, said Doce in an interview with the website 'MMA Junkie' (USA).

“As Ronda’s weight control coordinator, I see her as a flyweight if the division existed. Based on her current weight, and how committed she is to her lifestyle, Ronda could hit 56,7kg, which is the limit for this division. Maybe that's where the interesting fights can happen. Can you imagine a fight between Ronda Rousey e Joanna Jedrzejczyk, current UFC strawweight champion? Joanna has always said that she would like to move up to flyweight.”

The plans, however, depend on the result of Rousey's next fight: she returns to the octagon after 13 months to face the Brazilian Amanda nunes at UFC 207, on December 30th, in Las Vegas, in a fight worth the Ultimate bantamweight belt.
